Happy Birthday!

A group of friends (and what glorious friends!) are whisking me away to Istanbul, and then on board the Windstar, a seven-day cruise to Athens, with stops at holy and amazing sites in Ephesus, Bodrun, Rhodes, Santorini, and Mykonos.  This is a “beyond my wildest dreams” celebration of my 75th birthday on August 18.  Wow and Wow and again Wow.  Friends who couldn’t make the trip with us are sending love and so many good wishes that the sails of the ship won’t need the wind in order to lift and unfurl and soar.  This has been a summer of continuously unfolding wonders. Billows of gratefulness pour out of my heart each moment.  My continuing prayer is for every one to know the happiness of having friends who want to celebrate your life in joyful, ebullient ways. I realize not everyone is as fortunate as I am – not everyone will have friends who can take her on a glorious cruise ship to the sacred sites that inform and source the very ground of her being. But everyone has true and loving friends; may you know their cherishing goodness.
