Ubiquity University’s Chartres Academy

Ubiquity University is providing two magnificent courses at Chartres this summer. The first is The Cosmic Dance of Astronomica, July 7-13. Astronomica is the seventh offering in the second series offered by the school at Chartres, originally inspired by the thousand-year anniversary of the medieval Chartres School teachings of the Seven Liberal Arts. This year the teachings come from Apela Colorado, Ruth Cunningham, Jim Garrison, Andrew Harvey, Carolyn Myss, Calen Rayne, Banafsheh Sayyad, and two featured guests, Linda Tucker and Rick Tarnas. I am not able to attend this year’s Astronomica, though am envious of those who will be there.

HOWEVER, I do plan to attend a new event at Chartres this year. And urge others to join the party.

\"\"From August 12 -19, the new offering, “Madonna Rising: Visions of the Feminine and Masculine in Union” honors the Black Madonna during the holy days that annually celebrate the Virgin Mary’s Assumption into heaven. Here’s how Banafsheh Sayyad, shown above, describes the work we will be sharing, along with Anne Baring (who will join us by virtue of virtual reality), Ruth Cunningham, Jim Garrison, Andrew Harvey, and Banafsheh Sayyad.

\”Join us at Chartres’ holiest time during the Feast of the Assumption of Mary and the adoration of the Black Madonna in procession out in the open. A time for a full immersion in the divine feminine and her union with the divine masculine through deep reflection, joyous celebration, ritual, walking the labyrinth, dance and singing.\”
