I saw compassion appear

in the hillsides and valleys of this world.

Beloved community

Climbing hope’s holy mountain.

Sitting under an emerald buddha

in a cave of light

called me back to my breath.

I remembered my death.

Life’s mystery dancing

before my eyes.

Heart remembers

above and below.

Sound of angel’s whispers.

I bow.

Every morning at 9:00 Pacific Time, a group of loving friends gather on a group telephone call to share poems. Poems they have written, or researched, discovered, loved and cherished, and want to share with others. Words of wonder, heard, imagined, discovered, given away.

What a dynamically alive and elegant example of Joyful Service and Sharing! There is joy in every moment, and during the course of the morning that joy is amplified and sent on and out with delight, surprise, tears, wonder. This has been happening every morning for some 15 years.

The Poetry Call thus provides a potent stream of grace, goodness and gratitude. Spoken aloud, the holiness of holy words pour out and out and out, traveling into the unseen realms beyond, beyond, way, way beyond.

I bow.
