The Month for Joyful Service and Sharing

The glorious month has arrived! The wondrous time when we discover again how much joy, how much pure happiness, we give ourselves when we give to others, through service and sharing.

Give the gift of yourself. Your time, your energy, your prayers, your song, your awareness. To friends, to partners, to birdsong, to neighbors, to the Earth, to children, all children everywhere.

We can’t all be Bodhisattvas, but we can practice kindness, we can lift our own hearts and others’ through attention, gratefulness, and music.

And do our best to drive away sorrow wherever and however we sense its painful presence.

May you be happy. Authentically happy. May you feel the peace that is traditional in many parts of the world as winter brings time to rest and dream again.

May you know joy, abiding joy.
