All Aboard for the Joy Bus

I’m willing to climb onto your bus of joy and

love this day.

I’m willing to stop where you want to stop.

I’m willing to get off where you might need

me to do some service.

I’ll resist my desire to go up to the front of

the bus and tap on your shoulder,

and insist that you hurry up or slow down.

I’ll self-correct if I notice

that I’m complaining about the bumpy road,

the temperature, or any of my fellow

passengers.

I’ll practice Joy about being on your bus

and practice gratitude that you are the

driver.

All aboard for forty wonder-filled days of staying dedicated to the idea and practice of joy. No matter where the Joy Bus stops, or who gets on, or who complains, or how hot it is, or where the rain is hiding, or what’s the matter with the country and the world, or not knowing the destination, or questioning when we might arrive, or where we might be when/if we ever do arrive – no matter, because, with or without us, JOY IS. And will carry us if we just get on the Bus and stay on.

Who’s driving this Bus? The wisest Being in your inner crew of guides and helpers. The Holy One whose primary purpose is based in a deep desire to enhance your happiness, health, resilience, sense of well-being, and effectiveness in the world. Understand that One is the One who knows the true nature of Joy in the World. And, unfailingly, to carry you toward that truth while offering you joy-filled gifts that can open you to knowing and relishing that nature as well. This is a driver you can trust. So climb on and have a grand journey.
